Singles.
I say that because that's the only rudiment I can actually pull off.

I can't pic one, but here are a few I play:
- 6 stroke rolls forwards (aka paradiddle-diddle): RLRRLL; and inverted: RLLRRL, which is a Buddy Rich favorite too. (All singles are accented on both versions).
- Gadd's drumset ratamacue. (See Gadd's explanation).
- This 4 stroke sticking: RLLF with an accent on the R.
- Ratamatatt - a rudiment I made up about 30 years ago: RLLRLLRRLRRLRRLL. (All singles are accented).
- A nameless rudiment I made up after the ratamatatt: RLLRLLRLLRLLRRLL. (All R's are accented). This one is easily combined with the ratamatatt because both have 16 total strokes.

Mine would be double stroke roll, parradiddle, five stroke roll and a six stroke roll. Its a thing my teacher made up. You play RllrrL and LrrllR. The first and last note are accented, its really a really good rudiment to play. When played real fast it sounds great cause of the two accents one after another. Try it.

Double strokes roll and RLLRLLRL
When u play sticking concepts like RLLRLLRL or RLLRLRLLRL where do u place ur accents like most people would play them on the R, but try changing it round a bit, and then try mixing it in with ur playing and u can cum up with sum pretty creative lines.

What i do alot to practice is playing singles with one hand and switching to the other wtih a triplet or some doubles. Don't ask me about accents because i really can't controle them,... YET ! ;)

flams definatly , sound really cool around the kit. in fills also i find myself using what some refer to as the "cobham rudiment" around the kit lately. It's the fill that Carter Beauford uses alot, most notabily at the end of "ants marching".Sounds real messed up when the kick is added into it.

it's hard to explain without writing it out( at least for me it is )It's kinda like a triplet feel within the parameters of straight sixteenth notes and going over the bar. If that makes any sense at all...lol

This is a great rudiment, i just tried it, and it is really good. Iv said wat my main fav rudiments r already but my two absoulute favs have to be double stroke roll and five stroke. Like Sonor Dude put it. "You can put them anywhere." And u can, i like play them at the end of fills. At the end of a 8th note fill or sumthing put in a 16th note five stroke roll then crash on the '1' and the 'and'. (Great to do) Then even splash on 2 with the snare.

I love em' all they are sweet!
But my favorites have to be...
7 stroke roll
Ratamacue (single, double and triple)
Flammed mills
Pataflafla *You should try playing this going over all the toms while keeping a constant 1 2 3 4 on the drumset, it gives you a bit of a latin beat*
All paraddidle rudiments
Cheeses (Flams with a diddle)

The ratamatatt breaks down into an alternating paradiddle/doubles pattern:
RLLR LLRR LRRL RRLL
and the other one was:
RLLR LLRL LRLL RRLL
I'm trying to work myself into thinking of stickings in terms of relations and not so much different rudiments. I mean, considering the possibilities with even a single figure:
paradiddle: RLRR, LRLL, RLLR, LRRL, RRLR, LLRL, you can apply a pattern based off of just those patterns:
RLRRLRRLRRLRLRRL or RLRR LRRL RRLR LRRL.
RRLR RLRR LRRL RRLR RLRR LRRL (this would be more of an over the barline figure)
You would hear it as: RRL RRL RRL RRL RRL RRL RRL
Orchestration always plays a big part in how unrelated it can be to stickings.
The alternation between drums can create a tonal effect by giving the illusion that a the drummer is using a certain sticking which may not be the case. IE: supposing between two drums (of a higher and lower pitch): you'd hear something in 8th notes like this: _ - - _ - - _ - - _ _ - _ _ - _ . There are alot of possibilities. Any of the given single/double note patterns can fit within that structure of orchestration. My philosophy on this is that the main importance of sticking patterns is to make transitions and fills more fluid and easy to maneuver around the kit by implimenting them to an orchestration. So, what that ends up doing is that a double on one hand may provide the hand enough time to accent a cymbal or create another texture by having the extra time to move. Anyways, the application of rhythm, orchestration can be applied as well to the kick drum. The whole idea of this seems to go on into the products of limb independence and things like that. There are SO many options I don't like to think of getting stuck in a single rhythmic idea. It's just practicing enough to expand your vocabulary and be musical in your playing. I feel that the purpose of all these exercises is to create a more musical approach to playing. I think the most fun thing to toy with though is the foot/hand doubles. the RL (kick kick), If can be Right and Left foot or just a double, but the whole RL BB RL BB leaves alot of room for creativity. Not to mention, you can change note values and use the same pattern. You can add or subtract notes etc. RL RL BB. I try not to get caught up in the whole idea of rhythms as being "rudiments". They are all extentions of texture. I don't mean I don't practice using rudiments, but I feel that a more applied approach to inserting them into playing creates a more fundamental use for it. That was sort of long winded. I hope someone is on the same page with me here...

Paradiddles
6 stroke roll
I dont "dominate" them corectly but i have fun practicing them :D
Paradiddle-diddle (RLRRLL or LRLLRR) - good for fast powerful fills on the toms.
Paradiddle (RLLRLRRL) - When applied between the Kick and Snare as KSSKSKKS -
playing straight 8th notes on ride or hat and accenting the third Snare hit while ghosting
the other Snare notes makes a nice backbeat groove.
Four stroke ruff (RLRL or LRLR) - again good around the toms.

I am just getting back into this after a 22 year hiatus.
I used to combine a single ratamacue with a single paradiddle, and it sounded cool.
I would love to give you the notation on it, but for the life of me I can't remember how in the hell I did it!
As soon as I figure it out again, I'll let you know!
When I did solos, I did more single and double rolls across the drums, and used that as a sort of break, or bridge between them
It sounded pretty cool, and a little like Danny Seraphine, maybe. But like I said, I can't remember how I did it.
Stay tuned!

pataflafla (http://www.vicfirth.com/education/rudiments/27pataflafla.html)
and then
single flammed mill (http://www.vicfirth.com/education/rudiments/25flammedmill.html)
The pata fla fla is just running 16th notes, with flams added to the "a"s and the 1, 2, 3 and 4
1 e & a 2 e & a 3 e & a 4 e & a
flams on all the numbers and a flam on the "a" right before each number.

I like 6 stroke rolls and inversions(paradiddlediddle etc) and really any rudiment in 6 played as triplets broken up and voiced around the kit....5 stroke rolls can spice up a boring 16th note fill, or dress up a hi hat pattern.....swiss triplets rock and of course the million and one things you can do with the paradiddle family. I use drags quite a bite as well.........

right now I'm obsessed with paradiddle-diddle. Either straight up around the kit or one combo I've been playing alot with is adding a kick at the end to create a seven.
-Floor tom (R), snare (L), Snare double (RR), rack tom (LL), kick - and combinations thereof.
Or adding it to the third partial of a triplet creates a very cool sound eg. SSK, TSS, SK(TSSSSSK) -in seven and back to one. great sound!

Ratamacues of any sort
Ok vegas......I took limited approach to rudiments when I was playing live. Singles, doubles (including the 5, 7 & 9 stroke rolls), diddles, flams and flam accents were about it. Since finding new enthusiam after a break, I'm back trying to learn ALL the rudiments........ratamacues being one of them.
That said, I'm always interested in how others apply the rudiments that I never bothered with, to the drum kit. What 'voicing' do you lend to the sticking of a ratamacue around the kit? And what about double and tripple rats? I'm looking for some ideas to either steal, or adapt for myself.

HA! This is funny timing, I was just having a conversation about this with a friend and decided that if I had to pick two rudiments I use the most and call on the most is would be the Paradiddle and Flam Accent.

My favourite rudiments at the moment are paradidledidle (RLRRLL, LRLLRR) and doubleparadidle (RLRLRR, LRLRLL).
The first one is incredible to do quick 6s around the kit in fills and grooves.
The doubleparadidle helps you to develope very funny latin grooves in 6/8.
I have recorded with my td3 an example of this:
Here you can see a groove based on paradidledidle:

And a percusion part based on double paradidle:

Then I mixed it with a bass and the 6/8 clave and this was the result:

And for the study, in order to develope a good hand definitions, the best rudiments, with no doubt, are flams.

Gee Pocket I wish I was far enough along in my playing that I could give some long technically awesome response but I am just working my way through the book "The Drummer's Complete Vocabulary as Taught by Alan Dawson" by John Ramsey and so far the ratamacue is simply the rudiment I enjoy playing the most. I am just now experimenting with moving it from the snare to other parts of the kit. Very sorry I couldn't be of more help.
