Hey all

A band I'm going to audition/jam with this week sent me a rough, short demo to listen to so I can see what they're about. Ive recorded some drums to it (low quality) so they can check it out too. see it here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gomTE8ccSFs)

The recording is really rough so I'd suggest listening to it with headphones as it clears it up a bit, also the kick especially in when I play double kick, is difficult to hear. I know it sounds a bit too much and it might need simplifying but this is what a lot of drumming in this genre is like. any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

The band I'm applying for were previously call The Vehicle Field (http://www.myspace.com/thevehiclefielduk) but they split earlier this year and are reforming with a new drummer and second guitarist. This is a pretty good opportunity for me as they had a pretty good following and some fair decent contacts. They're going for a sound like The Devil Wears Prada (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdGFUYmwXvU), Vanna (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kthb6L3G21M) and For The Fallen Dreams (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDUsat0bC5Y).

Anyways let me know what you think. :D

I like it.

If it were me, I would play the first part double time of what you were playing, but that's just my own feel of the song. I think if you played the first part double time, then when it came to the part where your on your ride it would have a nice transition.

After listening to it again I know EXACTLY what you mean. I'll give a run through tomorrow. cheers :)
