Use a Head Lamp!

Hey all you drummers out there! Maybe some of you guys(and gals) use these too? I have been using a camping/hiking headlight for some years now and I am amazed at how many drummers have never thought about using them. I mark my stands with a sharpie and have a marked carpet for shows and I find a head lamp extremely useful... and so does the band. As we all know, backstage lighting is never great and loading in from the street can be worse! Just remember to turn the thing off when talking to people. Nothing says "thanks for coming out!" like a flashlight directly at your face: ) Happy shredding!

The best ideas are always so simple. thanks One more suggestion. I have one of those clip on lights that lets you choose a green or blue light. You can see a lot and you dont blow out your night vision.

The Sharpie will come in handy on Cymbal Arms.

I'm an electrician and I use them all the time to work in dark attics and things, but at a gig? I wouldn't be caught dead in one. They do work well, but not for me at gigs.
