My student has this drum and she is the original owner I think its a 67-68. COB drum real bad pitting BUT perfectly round. I just put a few hours into her and here are some before and after. Sounds awesome.

Kudos to you good sir, thats a fantastic job. Bet that drum sounds lovely aswell.

May I ask what you actually did/used? The hardware on my old drums is becoming a little like that from being kept out in the garage and I would like to restore them a little bit!

Thanks a lot I really appreciate it! I used .00001 steel wool to do all the chrome. It is great stuff for just straight dirt. I also used a little Acetone for some tape that was festering on there for like 30years. The drum is perfectly round and sounds F'n awesome. Its really punchy and warm at the same time. Can';t wait to give it back to my student.
