I think I saw a quick review of them in Rhythm magazine and they said they were good. At least they never mentioned that they were fragile or anything.

That $70 price tag, yikes. You can get a Patton 14" fan for $31-$35, and those will last you 1/2 a lifetime, and be more multi-functional too. Clip fans (personal fans) usually run $15-$25, designer nametags/expensive gizmo bragging rights non-withstanding.
