So I wanted to add another crash and not have to lug an extra boom stand. I picked up a dw dogbone and a dw mini boom. I ended up putting the mini boom on my left hand crash because I don't need the longer boom on it, and I used both the long booms to do the right hand set up with the ride and crash.

here is the drivers seat view. I'm really happy, I have a 17" a custom on the left and an 18" a custom crash on the right. the ride is a 20" a custom. you can see the DOGBONE clamp coming up behind the ride holding the boom. from behind the kit it looks like there is another boom stand behind the ride.

here you can see the set up from the other side. it is very sturdy while playing and once I set everything and the memory locks in place it did not move at all. the dogbone is really sturdy. The only thing I don't like about it is that you can't rotate the dogbone, they do make one that has a sort of mini-boom set up and it can change angles, but I like the simplicity of this. I am a little nervous about a guitar player coming up and bumping into it or something silly like that, but I think it will hold up to the abuse.

I use DW hardware exclusively and I use three Dog Bones. They are a great invention and you have put them to good use.

I would like to see more photos of your set - show it off.

I have other pictures of my set in the gretsch thread in the drums section.

but speaking of dw hardware I also have the dw cowbell mount for the bass drum and it is incredible! it grips the hoop from the sides instead of the top and bottom and it is so sturdy you can actually pick up the drum by the cowbell! I have a gon bops cowbell too which is made my dw and I love it. My bandmates thought it was too loud and had too much ring too it, and I guess it does for practice but I used it at the gig unmuffled at it is perfect and very musical.
