Mini Kit Reprise

I finished my build on the mini kit.
I am using my 16in bass, 10 and 12 inch toms.
Piccolo snare, 18 inch crash for a crash/ride
and an x-hat for my hi hat. Need some placement adjustment
and hopefully a sound byte tomorrow. Enjoy

id like to see how the kick pedal attaches

these may help...bracket/riser attaches to hoop, then pedal to the bottom or bracket/riser

Do you use the bracket/riser to get a lower kick placement on the bass drum because of the smaller diameter? Just wondering since I bought a Tama Stagestar with an 18" bass drum and wonder if it's something I should consider. Nice looking setup by the way, those Gretsch's are real nice...

Yes the riser brings the pedal down in essence so that the beater will strike in the middle of the smaller drum. The front is held off of the floor, to level it out, by the two legs that insert in the tom leg mounts. If you would like to try a kit like this I have another set of parts that I will sell you for half price. It is brand new and was sent to me by Musicians Friend because the first one I got had no rubber cap for the tom mount that rests on the side of the bass drum piece. Let me know.

How are you liking the tom / BD converter? That's the R-Club Gibraltar do-hickey, right? Does it keep you in one place or does it creep?

It stays put. I don't really hit it hard enough to move it much plus the DW pedal has velcro on the bottom which adheres to the carpet.

Did you condense this from a larger kit, or buy the pieces separately, or what?

Bought the 16 separate but the 10 and 12 toms are form my Renown set. Just borrowed.
