Drum tuning

Hey
i think this is the right category for this sorry if not.
I have just bought myself a new FVF snare but it is tuned incredibly high
I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips or help on how to tune it down to the sound of All time low/Fall out boys snare drum sound

Loosen all the lugs slowly very slowly so there is no tension at all.
Start by finger tightening all lugs top and bottom, then as a starting point tighten the reso 2 full turns on every lug (criss cross pattern of course) then tighten the batter 1.5 turns on each lug., This is only a starting point, fine tune from here and see what you think. You should get a nice sound from this.
