I'm primarily a Guitarist, but a buddy and I have switched things around and started a Duo Band with me on drums. I've been playing guitar for 4 years and drums for 1.

I've been hitting rudiments hard lately in attempt to get my left hand more honed. I my grip is fine. I doubt it's my technique.

The pain didn't start until a few days when I used my arm to ease my self on to my couch. It's not an ache it's a sharp pain.

I know there's a lot of pain related posts, but I was wondering it my years of guitar could be it, or if I'm just running my left hand to hard.

Any advice.

If your technique is sound, you shouldn't have pain.

How can we diagnose your problem, if we can't watch how you play?

Make a video, if you can, and post it.

I will. It might me be a while. I had wrist problems when I was younger but it was my right hand.

I'm a guitar player who took up drums late, and I nearly crippled my wrists playing on a pad/gum trigger ekit. It was my grip. See an instructor.
