Hello everyone.
This is my Ludwig Supraphonic LM402 from around 1986. It was my grandad's that he passed down to me when he quit playing. I wouldn't give this beauty up for the world.
It sounds incredibly fantastic. I love it so much. Although, I plan to re-skin it with a coated emperor batter/coated ambassador snareside. And also plan to shine it and such.
Anyway: Thanks!

How does it sound with the pinstripe head? Very cool regardless.

Yes, it's gorgeous. It sounds really good. I was sort of surprised at how good it sounded even with the pinstripe on it.

thats a short demo of it.

But I slapped a coated ambassador on the batter side since that recording and I gotta say, I'm even more pleased with it. More recordings on the way soon, I think. I'll post it in the "Your Playing" section in the next few days.

Tasty snare drum sound on that clip. That sound bite has bonzo written all over it

ah man thanks a lot. i love that big, fat snare sound. best part is about that snare, i can tighten the internal muffling a bit and then tighten the snares a bit and there I have a Garibaldi-type snap sound. really great. =]
