Head sugestions for Pearl VBX?

I am going to change heads on my pearl vision birch kit.Any experience for heads that will come out the best possible sound with less overtones?No remo.

I would suggest something coated or 2 ply.

i have a pearl vbx with remo pinstripes, but since you dont want remo
i think the same head but for evans is g2? im not sure, i dont know much about evans.
and for the bass get the emad 2!!!

First off, Remo yes! Remo receives first choice of Mylars over any other head company. More Remo heads are used by the pros then any other head company. That said, I would recommend Remo Smooth White series. They are a hybrid of a clear and coated heads. And the coating is molded into the head. Therefore, the coating will never ware off. There is no other head company that offers this style of head.
