How about Romain Goulon? He's both fast and tricky, his blast beats are extremely controlled and he seems to have excessive power with ultra-fast double bass (as seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKWr9a2fikE where it looks like he's playing without any kind triggers or even mics and sounds like that!).

So since hes pretty much one of my all time favorites, I figured id revive this thread. Goulon pretty much is the definition of technical perfection in my opinion. Necrophagist is clearly the leader in the tech. death metal genre.

Yah he's very good, but I don't think he's original enough to be considered a leader in the genre. But yes, very very skilled drummer though.
