Ludwig Vistalite Appraisal

We have a 1976 Ludwig 5 piece Vistalite Green set plus cymbals, hardware and throne and would like to know what a fair price for the set would be. Also, we would welcome any suggeted places to list the set. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Green is one of the, if not the, most sought after color. However, condition is extremely important. So are sizes. Hardware, on the other hand. A Ludwig cymbal stand is a Ludwig cymbal stand. Unless the hardware is extremely clean, a lot of buyers would rather not have the hardware. It only adds weight (and shipping costs). Pictures would be nice. At least more info.

If they are concert toms (single headed) they won't be as desirable either and will command a lower price.

You might do well to sell the hardware separately, but include the Tom Mounts, Spurs, and Floor Tom Legs with the drums as you really can't use them without those parts.

Looking at eBay right now, the only "rare items" are the red & clear spiral toms, and the lifesaver cannister throne. Everyone needs money, it's a real bad time to sell drums, and all the prices are "way to high" on the blue, clear, and white kits. Several years ago, I saw a green cannister throne, on eBay sell for $3K. Very rare item. I'd watch eBay, to see (especially the red & clear spiral toms, and the cannister throne) what Vistalite is selling for now.

Assuming that they aren't all scratched up or cracked, I would say the $1000 range.
