What's Up DW? I Didn't know where to post this but here it is..
this is not me playing, this is an example of how things gets done here in Brazil..
A lot of drummers in this country have no access to drums, either because of the lack of drums available to buy in the place they live or just simply because thy don't have money for it.
But we don't suffer for this; that's not going to keep anyone from playing around here...
Many drummers just go and find a way to do their own thing.. Some are more dedicated and creative than others... Check this out (the sound of the bass drum is awesome):
I'll Translate what the guy is saying at the beggining of the video:
"Hello, we're here with our good friend 'Master' Isaias 'Shanghai' (yes the guy has two nicknames) and he's going to show this drumset that he built in his house using this 6 gallon water keg. He's going to play some rythms for us, the first is a 'Baião'."

This guy Master Isaias went a little further in the D.I.Y. thing... He got a totally destroyed electonic drumset (national brand) with the cables and module (the pads were useless but the sensors were ok) for a ridiculous price (something like 30 USD) and using his "Master skills" (lol) made this beautiful thing:

This guy is now one of my drum heroes..
