Tambourine?

i want a tambourine.
i need one to hit and one to shake.
i have a mount on my bass hoop where i mount a cowbell where ill hit it.
i would like to shake it with my hand (and maybe even my hi hat rod.)
i like the lp cyclops. i have an lp salsa bell. its nice
nickel/steel or brass?
i am on a budget.
id like a tambourine that may not be a quick-draw, but has a handle and a removable clamp.

what should i get?
is there one tambourine that can accomplish all of these things?

does anyone use the meinl tambourine?
i like the sound of them and i can a get a quick draw mount.
anyone have experience with it?

Different kinds of tambourine sound very different. You should go into a drum shop and try them out. Also, there are some that have a handle and a mount, this is what you're looking for.

I own this tambourine in the steel jingles version. I like it alot because it has a mounting base that fits on any L-rod (which would be good for you since you're wanting to mount it on a cowbell bass mount) or cymbal stand. The base has four prongs that stick up the grip just slips in between the prongs. very easy to remove, but also very sturdy. I recommend checking this one out.
