DW 5000's Spring Tension

I just got a set of DW 5000 double bass pedals.. i was use to my pedals to have a pretty high tension but the dw's seem to have no tension a all.. can some1 please tell me how to adjust the spring tension or any other adjutments i can make?

You have to loosen the lock nut on the top side of the threaded rod that connects to the spring. Then you pull down on the hex nut on the bottom. This will allow you to turn it and tighten up the spring.
