Konnakol is a part of south Indian classical music
Bols are generally part of Hindustani classical...its just aplying your thought process to different rhytmic ideas....
Anyways...if you really want to check out some awesome konnakkol stuff go for
Subash Chandran (Indian) ..
Go ahead Cheers

Check out Pete Lockett's book on Indian Rhythms for the Drum kit if you haven't already. Even though i'm not deep into it, its a great book if your interested in Konnakol and Pete has literally mastered the art of getting Indian Rhythms onto the drum kit.
Thanks.
