I must say i've always been a bit of a fan of bigger drums rather than smaller ones. But it does look pretty good.

Thank you very much TB !
Actually i havent work on them, i have bought venieer that i wanted and took it to master who works with it.
I know that he used combined glue for venieer but God knows how he has done it. I am medical doctor and don t know anything about it. For me the result is amazing.kick and toms match very nice and they harmonize well.
I love this vintage Slingerland sound and i will use it instead of Hipgig Marotta for club Gigs where i play in bop trio. I have another slingerland from 1966.20,12,16(on my avatar-see my gallery too) and vintage Premier 60-is 20,12,16.

In the first And Now photo it appears that the bass drum wrap has a seam quite visible on the top quadrant. why didn't he put this seam under the drum?

yes you are right, this is his mistake even though i told him before that it should come under the drum :(, but i can not make it right more. i must live with it :).
