So.. Who's it gonna be?

One of the elder studio drummers:
John J.R. Robinson
Leon Ndugu Chancler
Rayford Griffin
Phaulino Da Costa
Nate Smith

Or one of the elder tour drummers:
Jonathan '''SugarFoot' Moffett
Ricky Lawson
Michael Blend

Or a new ''younger'' cat (like his ''young'' producers team with Akon and Georgio Tuinford)

Anyone has seen pics or vids from the rehearsels?

Interesting question. I have no idea, did he himself choose the old ones or did the production or record company pick musicians?

I guess the drummer in the memorial was the same as was intended for the concerts. Didn't recognize who it was, sounded like some RnB guy.

EDIT: found in another thread that the drummer on thememorial was J. Moffet.

Moffett was slated to do the tour... and there were a ton more dates planned, not just London. That's a lot of work pulled out from under the band, dancers & crew. :(

Bermuda,

How would a typical tour of that magnitude work for the musicians? Would there be a minumum upfront advance or a daily wage to cover the rehearsels and pre-production time already put in or would the musicans wages be strictly based off of the tour's take?

Rehearsals would be salaried, but almost certainly just a percentage of the tour pay - especially with so many personnel in the MJ production - as box office revenues aren't normally turned over until each concert is completed.

it was gonna be Jonathan "sugarfoot" moffett. jonathan had played for michael off an on for aver 30 years. jonathan also recently made the switch from his long time cymbal endorser zildjian to soultone cymbals which is a company that i endorse. he has his own line of cymbals with them called the m series.
