Jaco Pastorius memorial

My good friend and the first lady of bass, Ingrid Pastorius has shared this with me & I thought i'd pass it along to all the Jaco fans here:

"The scaffolding is up, and a film crew started to document the painter Ciccio as he begins his tedious but inspirational project of painting a Jaco mural on the walls of the Community Center at Jaco Pastorius Park. An example of the mural is the long rectangle piece you can see in the video of the Community Center dedication."

Great stuff. It's good to see Jaco enshrined. HIs son, Julius is a drummer. Have you heard him yet?

Yes. Very good, in a wild & crazy kind of way.. Like dad, who was also essentially a wild & crazy drummer, who then started playing bass because he broke his wrist.
