Pearl Export Carbon Custom

Hello everyone

I am new to this forum and thought i´d tell you a little about myself and my beloved kit.

My name is Ingo and I come from the land of the ice and snow ( Iceland )

I have been playing from the age of 14 so it´s been about 8 years now.

Enough about me and more about the set

I bought this set in 2004 and it was in "cobalt fade #299" it was my second kit and my first and only real good one.

I was unemployed last year in april and I got a little bored so I painted the set Blue/Black.

but noe I got really sick of that color and wanted something diffrent and something I had never seen in Iceland before.

I went for Carbon Fiber

Looks good withh the carbon finish- Now the Export is under rated by many- but is I believe still the best selling kit in the world, as I have said be4 with good heads and tuning this kit sounds amazing. Well done for tricking out the Export- Nice job mate.
Did you glues it all round or just at the joining edge as Pearl did with the original wraps?

The original wraps were kind of melted so I had to actually sand it down to get rid og the cobalt fade, my first drmkit ( Hohner ) I could just simply take the wraps off but not with this cobalt fade but this carbon fiber film is the same kind "ricers" use on their cars so it has glue all around the drum ;)

I am now waiting for my 8" tom and when it comes I am going to show you from a - z how I do this ;)

I really think this looks great, i did a similar thing with some camo fabric but this looks considerably better (to be fair i didn't dare glue mine because my drums are quite nice!)

I took my Tama Swingstar Snare today and cleaned it, I used Brillo w/soap and come carwax :p
