dw 5002 broken?

I just bought dw 5002 acelerator double pedal delta2 and i'am very satisfied with it.but i have read it is possible to break the footboard (http://www.pearldrummersforum.com/s...php?t=60291).so is there any insurance for that problem?how much is the possibility for this to happen and under what circumstances.

I think the DW foot boards are casted, so with enough pressure near the middle it could snap. I would just avoid putting way too much pressure. It wouldn't be insurance, but if you bought it new then there might e a warrenty. You might be able to find something on DW's site as far as a warrenty is concerned.

I read in another thread that they have a 5 year warranty. Check it out. I hope you get it. Good luck.

I've broken and 7000 and a 4000 already. It can happen. Mine broke at the hinge. They just send you a new one.

I have been playing the same DW 5000 pedals for over 15 years, no problems of any kind.
