I thought you did that rather well. your accents seem to be right on time. Good job.

That was really good! Not just you but the whole band was swinging. Sounds like y'all have been practicing. Nice job!!

that's great. I'm about to play my first show with my high school's jazz band tonight
and I'm nervous

but that band sems pretty small
am I wrong?

Yeah, the accents are all written in their so it wasnt that difficult to learn the song, but its a hell of a lot of fun to play.

thanks you. We have practice every school day for 45 mins, so we are given plenty of time to work, so we learned it about 3 weeks ago.

Hope that went well.

And yes you are wrong lol. You can only see about 1/3 of the brass section.

we have 5 trumpets, 4 sometimes 5 trombonests, 5 saxs (2 alto, 2 tenor, 1 bari), 3 key boardists, 1 bass player, 2 guitarists, and 3 drummers total.

but that sounds like a cool set up
but I'd hate to have to switch off on the drums haha

its not that bad, we each get to play a decent amount of peices. by the end of the year our band has like 20+ to play. But yeah i would prefer it just being me, but beggers cant be choosers.

Im a senior. I just started with jazz during the summer before 11th grade, and i love it. You should definitley try out for the jazz band in your high school. My jazz playing ability would not be anywhere near what it is now had i not tryed out for the jazz band, plus its just alot of fun.

thank you very much. i was quite pleased with my performance too, because we didnt have much time to prepare this piece, so i had just recently gotten the song down about 2 days before the show.
