lol can anyone explain to me what the hell it is that he's doing with his feet here? It looks like some sort of RRL or Swiss triplet on both kick pedals, but the hi-hat is playing quarter notes at the same time. I swear it looks like both kick beaters are going, maybe I'm just being stupid, idk.

He has his left foot on both the double kick pedal & the hihat pedal so they both hit at the same time.

that's what I was starting to think. you'd have to set your pedals up kind of crazy to do that I would imagine. maybe its just me but there is much less play in my hihat pedal than the kick pedal.
