Killer chops Tom!
Only thing I would comment on is stick with and spend more time on developing your "themes". Let them simmer+bake for a while and tease with them then deliver the goods just like Buddy would have done in some of the fine Buddy influenced chops you delivered as seen in the clip.
All the words and sentences are there just work on the overall "story" you have to tell is my only comment Tom. Fine playing!

Agree with Stan ( After listening to his trio, I'd better...)
You got action, adventure, romance, car chase, and a hot babe.. you could string it all together a touch better.
But I actually enjoyed that.. It was a little unconventional and thats what i liked about it. I liked what you did with the left hand fast singles, and the snare work... very cool.
The playing is getting smoother & smoother every time you post.
... watch out world..

Hey Tom,
Thanks for the PM. Once again I am blown away by your chops. I've heard you swing and now I've heard you rock out a bit (with some really great ideas). Personally, I would like to hear you solo around a funk beat (ala Benny Kreb with your chops). Keep up the great work. One day I am looking forward to hearing about you scoring a gig with one of the greats.

Nice man! Nice solo. I'm really impressed. It's cool to see that you have different stuff every time you post. I really liked some of the grooves and what you did with the toms.
The one thing I would say, is about the end when you had the WFD certified hand skills on the go. It was sounding killer, but when you would accent or hit the cymbals your hands would immediately slow down, or play another pattern. It's totally understandable, you're moving way fast but I think it's something you should work on, because it was a bit too obvious that it was happening. Try and get it a bit more fluent is basically what I'm saying.
I liked everything, especially the grooves, with the quick hi hat splashes and such. And again, the tom work at the start was pretty tasteful. Really cool solo man.
Hope that helped.

Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments. I really appreciate it when you guys drop by and contribute to the thread. It's greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the kind words Steamer, aydee, slingerland755, mikei, jcdrum14, Tutin and radeq. I agree that my "themes" need to develop more. I also understand that there needs to be more musicality but this was a birthday party and everyone was intoxicated (well at least everyone). It was really a chops solo and not everyone digs that and I understand that completely. I should of made that clear from the start but oh well.. Everyone at the bar thoroughly enjoyed the solo so I was glad that I got such a good response. I think what I did was suitable for this type of audience. But anyway, I appreciate the comments everyone has shared so far! Thanks!

Nice.
You need a 26" kick to accent the accents. : )
You should have done the gig in a tux like Buddy did on occasion.

Yes, you could tell the audience was into it which was great. I really enjoyed the solo. I wish both of my hands could go as fast as one of yours!! I enjoyed the grooving parts, some catchy grooves for sure, and, of course, your hand speed is incredible! Nice job!!
