I was wondering if I can use the single tom mount with the Tama Double Tom Holder For Bass Drum Mount W/ Adjustable Base#473430 ?

I want to convert by leaving the original star classic mount on the bass drum and just use the bottom tube from the #473430 along with the single mount. Is the bottom tube on the double mount the same diameter as my original bottom tube?

That seems like a lot of money to spend to convert a double tom holder to a single. Why do you even need to do that? My suggestion: get a cowbell, wood block or tambourine and mount it on the other tom arm

I second this. You can even get a little adapter for the tom L-arm to hold a cymbal.

I was inquiring about switching over to the single tom and mount to see if these parts are compatible. The reason being is I want to make it easy for my pop who is a left handed drummer and likes the single tom and have the ride cymbal over the bass drum.

Oh yeah That mount is the same thing thats in your bassdrum mount. It comes out wen u loosen the bolt. You can stick a boom arm in there. I do it all the time.
