I checked back to the last thread I left on here of my band and music, and since then we've recorded a whole new CD...

Only the first track is on the myspace so far, but there will be more to follow :)

Not really my kinda music, but definitely well played. The drumming fit very nicely and is an example of EFFECTIVE simplicity. Also, the recording quality sounds really good (for what little I know about all that). I like that fat snare sound. Hey, mind checking my post a few threads down? Trying to get more views and feedback on it

Thanks a lot, i try to keep my parts simple and creative because of the sort of music it is, its about the sound and feel not the technicality.

I dig it! i really like airy music like that. first two things that came to my head were radio head and sigur ros, scrolled down and there they were listed! Keep it coming!

Nice stuff, great drum sound (that means a lot to me) But the playing is....mature. not over the top, not detracting from anything, just complimenting the structure and the other musicians. Did you use a click track?

We'll probably put the next track on there sometime next week, allowing for myspace - 'unexpected errors' which really aren't unexpected at all any more.

It was recorded in a sitting room with extremely high ceilings, so we tried positioning mics up by the ceiling as well as close micing for the drums, and blended the tracks together. I did use a click track, i tend to record to a click as much as i can (unless it sounds unnatural in the song) ...And i recorded all of that track in one take i think, only overdubbing some extra layers of cymbals afterwards.
