I have recently decided to take advantage of the sale at Sam Ash and I'm going to buy a drum rack for my current kit.
Right now I'm deciding between the Pearl ICON 3 sided curved rack and a Gibraltar rack (either 3-sided or V-Rack).
Does anybody have any feedback regarding these 2 racks? I've heard that the curved bars cause a lot of slippage and that the Pearl ICON rack is slip-free. Is this true? Does the Gibraltar even suffer from slippage?
What is the definitive word on these 3? Would you guys recommend the V-Rack over the regular curved bars? Is the Pearl significantly better because of the rectangular bars that are "slip-free"?
To me it seems as if the V-Rack comes with more racks and clamps while the Pearl is worth almost the same because of the rectangular bar shape and the name slapped on it.
I'm leaving for Sam Ash in like 30 minutes so your advice is REALLY IMPORTANT!!!!
