Okay here you go. A free swing space coming out of free group improv session last week with a local trio i've played with some 20 years now. Originally done with a high definition camera on a much larger file with MUCH better sound but quite shrunk down for presentation here to meet YouTube requirements.
The sound is not as warm and clear and a bit harsh overall especially in regards to the sound of my 2470g SE TW ride compared to the full res sample i've also watched and heard.
None the less gives you an rough idea of the music and overall trio vibe and sound. Oh yes and the maple shell Peace kit is the bass players home studio kit and the left side ride is my 2175g 20" Traditional Sizzle for those gear interested.

Thanks for the kind words Abe.
Been doing this with these guys just over 20 years now on the Vancouver jazz scene and it's always great fun to "stretch" in this kind of jazz improv trio format.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Wow Stan...
"Vancouver, the city with the highest life standard and with the most swingin` cats!"
That was really really amazing, your and your bandmates` swing is bodacious. Really intense performance as usual Stan, reminds me of Elvin indeed. What main ride did you use btw? It sounds really trashy and thin...please don`t tell me you already got a 23" Matt Chamberlain beauty! ;-)
Spirit and soul buddy, that`s what I felt.

Oh yes, I "overread" that you played the TW.
It sounds kinda light, I really dig its sound. It`s a whole other world than the 20" Traditional ride.
Really nice!

Stan that was first rate in all ways. The 3 of you sounded like you had played together some...several years maybe?
I agree with everyone else about that ride cymbal too. Man, what a sound. And yeah, the Elvinisms are obvious, but they're conveyed with your own voice. From you I would have expected no less.

Thanks for the kind words Tom, Matt and Bosphorus.
Just over 20 years we've played together in this and a variety of other configuirations Matt. We've played a long list of performances at jazz festivals and other concert venues on both sides of the border during the time i've known and played with these guys.

Stan... That was some of the best jazz playing I've heard from a forum member by far. Definitely up my alley. Great ride sound. Also, I remember really liking the pic of that kit when I saw it. Great to put a sound to the picture. You are lucky to have a group like that to play with. I'm jealous!

Stan, I am fan, guy!
That was great. I love your leash on the pulse, and the 1st tune your dynamics on the ride were sweet.
The playing in the improv tune sounded very Tonyesque? Would you agree? Its powerful even when its soft.. I like that.

Just me being me but Tony as well as Elvin, Jack, Bob and Claude are my key influences that make me what I am today so you'll hear that stuff pop in and out from time to time :}
Glad you dug it buddy!
