In my local classifieds, there is a PDP maple kit with a ddrum ash snare. This has been on there a few weeks and the guy lowered the price to 350.
I'm trying to find the model. I asked him but no reply yet.
The badges look like they've been taken off.
At first I was thinking this was a ddrum dominion, but the lugs show that it's a pdp and so does the mount in the second picture.
So help me please!

You're looking at the FXR series. They were made of birch and came in the fade finish you have there and a cherry lacquer. I don't know where the black hardware came from, as none of my catalogs show this as an option, but otherwise everything matches. The config on these was: 6x14" snare, 18x22" bass, 9x12" rack tom, 12x14" and 14x16" floor toms and an 8x10 add-on was also offered. It's closest living relative today is the 805 series.

I would check them out in the flesh first, and make sure sound and condition are kosher. If you are OK with all of that and all is in proper working order, then I would say they are a good deal.
I say that with some caution, however, as I have not seen them up close or heard them.

I used to sell those kits, 350 if it is mint is a fair price. I wish I had kept one. Virgin kick, 100% birch and a beautiful finish.
That is a killer mid level kit

Thanks for the opinions everyone.
My friend is telling me not to get it, but I think I'm going to check it out anyway. He's telling me that if I get a birch kit, get a yamaha.
Thing is, I want a decent 4 piece and a low price. I'm going to Japan and need as much funds as I can get.
So any other opinions?
Thank you guys, again.

That's the core of the kit I play currently! For the $, nice kit.
I wasn't aware however, that you could get black lugs / hardware on them....
