Snare for Acoustic Gigs

What snares do you all use for acoustic gigs, when using Multirods or brushes? I was thinking of buying a smaller snare- like a 12 x 3 or 13 x 3, just because it will be easier to fit in a conga bag with my converted floor tom and 12 in. tom.

If your using brushes you might want to stay with a 14" snare. I've noticed even with a 13" snare the brushes don't sound as good because of the surface area. I can't imagine what it would be like with a 12". If your playing with rods then you can probably get away with a smaller snare.
