Hi there!

I'm restarting drumming after 6 years. Of course, not on a professional level, so I'm looking for a decent, but only middle-class drum. So far, I'm thinking in Gretsch Blackhawk, Basix Neon, Ludvig Accent and Platin Solid Pro (not the simple Solid version!!!). The music is something like Eric Clapton's, or John Mayer's (and occasionally, a few grunge-like songs but just for the fun of it! ;) )
I'd appreciate any reply from those who has some practical experience with any of those kits, but any replies are welcome.

Thanks!
Best wishes,
Matthew

Do you have any price limit? The Gretsch Catalina Maple is an absolutely fantastic kit for a great price. You could probably find one used for under 500$.

Oh and try to buy used!

Hope this helps.

the top is 600$, but the problem is, I live in Hungary and we have only a limited variety of drums. We have Catalina to, but the price is way more than that! :(

Of the kits you list, I'd go with the Ludwig Accent.
