Does anyone own these yet? I know they just came out, but some of you are gear-o-haulics and maybe would have bought them :). Do they sound as good as the Pro-M's? Also, does anyone know if we will be able to buy Meridian Birch Shell Packs? Because I have all of the hardware necessary, and don't want to have to buy a whole new kit+hardware. Thanks for your help.

Some peeps at CSM have the new Meridian...
Not sure on how it sounds and the new ITS and etc... though.

The Pro-Ms were very popular and Mapex improved that line and came out with the Meridian Maples. We have some and are already selling them. IMO, they're even better. THINNER maple shells and better hardware. Can't go wrong there!

At the moment, they're not avail as shell packs. I'm guessing Mapex will start offering them as shell packs in the summer. That seems to be what they do but that's just a guess.

HMM.. Could the be thought of as built like saturns, but all maple or birch instead of hybrid?

Do the Meridians come with a removable no-hole tom mount like the Pro-M did?

Yes, just think of the meridians as an upgrade (hardware and finishes) to the ProMs and MBirch

I'm interested in the new 700 series hardware, looks a bit like dW's 9000 line with the tilter lever. I want to know how much they're going to cost.
