Just a quick rant but some might find good information. I just expanded my Yamaha Recording Custom kit with a second 22" bass drum. I have used the Attack 1 ply no overtones heads for years. So I order one from Music 123. My existing head is gloss black with the Attack logo top center and a nice 4" port. I received a matte black head with logo in lower center with a hole cut in it that looks like a 4th grader did it lined with electrical tape!
So long story short I call Attack and they tell me vendors in Taiwan can shift on them without notice. They arent willing to find a NOS head for me. Music 123 is unwilling to look in the warehouse as well as about 8 other places I called. So I will return it.
Now I need to buy a pair of heads from another manufacturer!!!!
I cant even find any plain black heads with the Yamaha logo. i will probably go with some Evans or Remos...I would stay away from Attack, they are getting hard to find when you start looking and calling around.
