looking to upgrade cymbals and want to know are these cymbals mostly for metal music, cause i dont really play alot of metal,

yes and no...
the 'metal' crashes have a lot of body with big cut, they sound their best when opened up, if your looking for something less bold from the AAX line up, try the 'Stage' crashes - just as bright, not quite the body, or the 'Studio' - bright, responsive to lighter play with a quicker decay...
best thing to do is go to a drum shop and play for your own ear to judge...

Sabian describes AAX as "Modern Bright." Judging from my experience with them they're just like any cymbal line in that they have a lot of options for most drummers, whether you play rock, pop, jazz, metal etc.
I think that these cymbals are a bit more complex than the AAs which are described as "Vintage Bright"

No. AAX's were originally made in 3 weights.
STUDIO - Thin
STAGE - Medium
METAL - Heavy
