I have been playing punk rock with the same drum head set up for a few years
, and thinking about making a change.
My style is more like Rush meets slayer meets iron maiden.

I currenlty play clear emperor batters on all toms, but considering the black suede emperor, not sure how much this will change my sound

I play clear emperor on my bass drum but considering a few different ones.
clear powersonic, clear powerstroke 4 ,
coated powersonic, coated powerstroke 4,

For snare drums I play coated emperor but considering black suede black x, or coated emperor x

Any feed back would be great, I like a more high end pop for my snares, and for toms I like a fast attack medium sound.
For bass drum, I am looking for a fast attack punch sound

I would not recommend the Emperor X, it is way too thick and it kills the sound of your snare.
The coated Ambassador or the Remo Coated Controlled Sound will give you the best sound for your snare.
As for the questions on the toms, buy one of the heads you're thinking of getting, put it on and see how it sounds compared to all your other drums with the regular emperors.
If you want more attack and punch for the kick, don't get a coated head.
The Powerstroke 3 is good, or if you prefer the powerstroke 4 then get that.

The P3 will cut better than the P4, I agree regarding the snare coated amabassador.
For toms if you want them to cut with minimum ease go ambassador clear or coated.
Basically, 1 ply throughout.

I elude to my quick review of the exact combo you stated. Black Suede Emperors on toms with a Black "X" on the snare.
