Hi to all!
My name is Tigran, and I'm a newbie here. It seems that this forum is a great source of information so I decided to address some questions to you.
I am currently working on setting up my practice routine and making it as efficient as possible.
My questions are:
1. In what tempo (tempo range) I would start playing a breakdown of a rudiment?
(I realize that the final tempo would depend on my skills, am I correct?).
2. How long would it take from start to the fastest tempo I could perform before I slow it back? (I've heard the number of one minute from open (slow) to fast (closed) and one minute from fastest to slow).
3. Should I play a rudiment for some time in my fastest tempo (say 10 sec., for example) before I start to slow down?
You see, I've asked my fellows programmers to create a PC based metronome that allows to program tempo changes, number of repeats, etc..so I want to program it right and keep the track of my progress.
Any input on these issues would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks to all.
