Hey, i was wondering what you guys thought about the paiste innovation 16 inch short crash and how it compared to like sabian xs20s medium thin 16 inch crash. Is the innovation cast bronze? Are innovations better than 2002s but not better than signatures? I read a couple posts but they didnt answer all my questions so tell me what you think?
thanks

anyone?.................
Innovations were considered a totally professional line that could be used for the "entire range of musical styles." They're made from CuSn8 bronze (or B8), but Paiste likes to call it "2oo2 Bronze." Innovations were priced below both the 2oo2s and Signatures.
According to a Paiste cymbal guide... The Short Crash is "Dark, fast, explosive. Wide range, very complex mix. Light, very responsive feel. Instant splashy attack, very fast, dark fade." The volume spectrum is from soft to medium loud and it is considered "thin" in weight.
As far as cymbals being "better" than another, that is highly subjective. I personally prefer many of Paiste's budget and lower priced cymbals than I do most of the very expensive Signatures. Personally, I would definitely prefer the Paiste over the Sabian XS.
