Hey Steve, Welcome to the forum. Nice set up. Pearl make great drums. That Yamaha snare must sound amazing. Have fun at DW and rock on.

Beautiful kit!

The snare is nice on it's own!

I am not familiar with those pedals, but they are colored like Mepps "black fury" spinner bait.

Dark energy cymbals make my knees weak.

Thanks!

The pedals are a Musicians Friend/Guitar Center exclusive. They are the Pearl "Redline" Eliminators.

And yes, the Dark Energy series is one of the best out there!

Great stuff. I own a blackrolite in the same size and I'm thinking I'd like to try some puresound snares on it too. How do you like yours with the new snares? Nice yammie snare too and love the paistes. I also own the 18" Aaxplosion it's a nice one. I'd really love to play a setup like yours.

I love the Puresounds! I never knew snare wires would make a drum sound so alive!

The Yamaha snare is a beast to say the least. I can get a really nice crack out of it but it has a LOT of body. I'ts the type of snare that makes you want to play all day. In fact, the whole kit is like that!

I noted that I have a 20" Paiste 2oo2 Crash on the way, but I just won an 18" Paiste 3000 Thin Crash that is getting me excited to play.

Thanks to everyone and the comments and it's great to be a part of this forum!

If anyone catches a 12x9 or 16x13 tom or a 16x16 and/or an 18x16 floor tom in Midnight Fade with Chrome hardware, let me know! I'm looking to expand. I'm hoping either 2-up 2-down or a monstrous 1-up 2-down with 14x11 up top with 16x16 and 18x16 floor toms. It'll be boomin'!

The 20" 2oo2 Crash just came in! I'll try to post some pics when I get the 3000 18" Thin Crash. I'll also try to post a video with my Mac's iSight camera, but the mic isn't all that fantastic for drums. Thanks!
