I like the HHX model better I think. It has a little more wash, which is what I was hoping for. But by far my favorite new cymbal is the AAX Memphis Ride. That will be mine one day......

My son is going from a Z Custom that had strips of heavy tape on the underside to the HH RBDR. He is just starting to know and like any wash at all. There is no way he could handle anymore at this point. LOL

oh wow...
some great additions to the AAX line up and some even better new cymbals from the Vault, i can't even imagine the wonderful sound a complete set of Artisan cymbals might produce, what i would'nt do...
good work Sabian :-)
and good post Sinsyk17!

Zildjian K's are my faviourite cymbals of all time,, but i always said that i would make the switch to sabian if they started making artisan hats and crashes, cause i have a medium ride. Seems that sometimes you get whatyou wish for.

The new Artisan crashes are GORGEOUS!!! And I'm sure very expensive like the rides are too. They remind me of K Constantinoples.

Yes, Sabian did quite a bit of new stuff this time — I was quite surprised to see so much of it.
Considering how extensive their catalog is already.
I WOULD be a Sabian lover...
but the mounting hole is way too small!!!! HA! I kill me.
But seriously ladies & germs..
Man! Sabian just HAD to introduce Radia Hats?!? I am never getting fully out of debt. I already need some crashes and another china and they have to put the idea of more hi-hat sets into my skull.
WHEW! Dodged a bullet. They're too clangy for my ears judging by Sabian's sound samples.
Crap. Those Radia hats sound WAY better on YouTube:

The Sabian sound clips atleast give you an idea of what your going to get.
Even if they aren't 100% accurate, its better than guessing.

I want an HHX RBDR, more dark projection and just a bit more wash? I'm in.
I'd also wouldn't mind hearing a few Memphis rides either.
