I have suffered long enough! I have been playing on the STOCK drumheads for 2 years now, so for Christmas this year i got hew heads for my whole kit top and bottom. I couldn't believe the differance in sound It went from a dull thud to a resonate bueatiful sound.
Anyway here's what i made this thread for i got new
Evans G2 coated heads for the top
Evans G1 coated heads for the bottom

So here are the pics:

Few things are more enjoyable than replacing out those cheap stock heads with brand new skins. Makes me want to replace my beat up heads. Nice stuff.

Nice set up....2 years? Damn! lol my stock heads didn't last 2 minutes let alone 2 years.

Good job. I am using those same heads on my set and feel I have finally found what I like works. As long as Evans doesn't change things.

I ran that same head combination for a while on my M Birches and had no complaints. Very warm tone even from the birch. Congrats.
