If so, do they sound good for their price? Any experience with ones with Diamond Bands Lathed in them, and what are those exsactly? Cause i have been thinking of buying a 18" Mist X crash either Heavy or the Diamon Bands lathed in.

I think "Diamond Bands" just refers to bands of their Diamond finish (Diamond is a line of cymbals they offer). I should have my new 18" Diamond crash dropped off at my door on Tuesday, and can be of more help then.

From what I've heard, though, the Mist X are good, cutting cymbals, similar to A Custom. What kind of sound are you searching for? I think the best way is to tell Jamie at Saluda first what SOUND you want from the cymbal, and secondly how you want it to LOOK (which I assume would be the reason for the bands, unless you know what these bands would do to your sound). Thus he can balance the aesthetic with the sound to get the perfect cymbal for you.

well i don't have alot of money and i don't know how much it would be for a custom cymbal, but i was going to order a Mist X crash from drumgearonline because my friend old me about these cymbals so i looked them up, found a video of a guy using mist Xs and the crashes just sounded like a perfect cymbal for me.

And i really don't know how to describe a cymbal i want, i sort of want one with a nice shimmering sound with a brilliant finish and would awe people by its sound and look. haha.

All Saludas can be custom crashes. The Mist X, Diamond, Nemesis, etc names refer to pre-made series, but any of them can be customized. Just email Jamie (the owner of the company) what you want, and you're good to go. Check out saludacymbals.com.

Was it one of my videos !? :)

Where are you in Michigan ...you should come check out our next show and hear them live and see what you think!

www.youtube.com/theory313 that is our singer, Leverage is my band...all of those videos are Saludas, 99% of those videos have no mics on the cymbals either.

You'll love the Mist-X ...just have to figure out what sound you like and what music you're playing,...you can get one to match what you need

It's also worth noting that if you don't mind spending a little more money, you can also get the logo/writing on the cymbal customized. Always wanted your own cymbal line? Jamie will do it for you!

Now, if I can only convince him to do gold ink...

Those videos are ALL Saluda's and most of them don't even have overhead mics for the cymbals

Ive got a 24" mist x mega bell ride and it is a behemoth of a ride with one of the best bells ive heard, the only thing that comes close in my experience is the HH power bell ride.

I used to use a 22" diamond crash ride but it cracked after about a year. A crushing cymbal but too much for anything less than very loud metal. It was amazing to use in the studio, an overwhelming and huge presence in the mix.
