simple head pick - i promise!

hey everybody, i'm looking for warm 2ply coated heads for my toms ( bass down the road ), have it narrowed down to these two set ups ;

Aquarian - 12"/16" Response 2 Coated

Evans - 12"/16" G2 Coated

i'm leaning towards the Aqaurian because i like the feel of the heads and believe they offer superior hoop technology...

so really just asking for someone to hold my hand and tell me it's all gonna be ok with the Aquarians ;-)

i play the g1 and do like the g2. i vote evans.

talked to the salesman today, says sorry - mid week next week!
i'm bummed, he said they would be here thu / fri, so i was getting excited about new heads this weekend - but, no :-(

ok, so - change of plans!
i waited two and a half weeks for the Aquarians, then i could wait no longer, everything else had come with the stores regular order except the Aquarians, so i went ahead and picked up some Evans!
Genera Snare, G2 toms - only the first night with them, but i'm impressed, these are so much better than the lousy plasticky stock heads, they tuned up quickly and are nice and warm - just what i wanted!
i hated to change my mind, but i can go into any one of a dozen local stores and get Evans heads - not so the Aquarians...

You have the same problem as I do every time I want to try Aquarian drum heads.

I am sure they are great drum heads they just are very hard to find in stock. Next time I'm in the big city I'm going to look for some. The G2 coated will serve you well.

I am sure they are great drum heads they just are very hard to find in stock. Next time I'm in the big city I'm going to look for some. The G2 coated will serve you well.

Same here... While I think Aquarian is the best all they way around, it is very frustrating to get their heads. I have waited over a month for an order already. That's crazy. My local stores only stock a few Studio x, Super Kick and Hi Energy heads. It takes forever to get what I want in my sizes which are 14, 16, 18 and 26. The only head that's never a pain to get is the snare head. I have been thining about trying Evans in the future. I have used Remo forever but stopped after getting too many bad Emperors and Pinstripes. I think if I were to go back to Remo, I will try the single ply heads. I don't know....
