Here's the thing. I've really started to bond with my Sweet Ride and I just got some Paiste crashes (2002 and Giant Beat) but they don't blend together very well so I'm looking for something different. Obviously I'm going to look at Zildjians, but are there any specific crashes that compliment the Sweet Ride extremely well? I'm looking for crashes 18" or larger, FWIW. Thanks.

I play Sabian, but I do play a Sweet Ride (as a crash) quite often. I have 2 of them actually--great cymbal!
I think any crash (that sounds good by itself first) of the CAST variety is going to sound nice & blend well with the Sweet Ride.
Paiste's alloy and cymbal making methods are so different than Zildjian or Sabian that I think it would be kinda hard to match up a cast cymbal to a Giant Beat or 2002, unless you found just the right one. Which is unfortunate because GB's are awesome cymbals, and the 2002 24" ride is one of my all time favorite cymbals.
Good Luck!

i used a 19" K custom hybrid and 20" A Crash for a LONG time with my sweet ride.
Now i use the sweet ride as a crash along with my 19" hybrid and use a 24" light ride for my ride
sschweeetness.
