This is my first kit since I was like 13 years old. I didn't spend a whole lot, because I am just getting back into it. I am very happy with the kit so far, and I will say that I am surprised how well the cheap stagg cymbals actually sound. I would take these over one of the sabian or zildjian starter sets anyday.

thanks, I am very happy to be here. I have been lurking for a bit, and decided it was time to join.

As for the cymbals, I must say that they sound amazing for what you pay. I got them for $160 at a local drum shop. And compared to my old sabian B8's they sound much much better.

I am just happy to be drumming again. It has been about 6 years since I last played, So I am still getting back into the feel of things.

Thanks! Since that post I have added a DW 9000PB pedal to my kit (used at GC for $172).

I plan to buy the 8" tom pretty soon, but I think I could benefit from cymbals first.
