Well, been a drummer for about 20 years. I play in a band in Oklahoma City, OK called Outflow. It's main stream rock and we just finished our demo a few months ago. Check out the website and/or MySpace and drop us a line and let us know what you think of the tunes!!

WOW welcome to drummerworld! I think your setup has already made it onto my KILP list. I love the cymbal selections and tom setup. I own an acrolite so I'm partial to yours and I also dig that homemade 10-ply keller shell. The recordings with your band sound impressive. Nice playing. What are you playing in that youtube compilation? Maybe I'm seeing things but it looks like a champaign sparkle ludwig. Welcome again. Oh, and make sure to show us some pictures of those references when they come in.

Thanks for the kind response! I agree, the Acros are awesome snares...picked mine up on Ebay this past summer! I actually used the homemade snare on the demo, it didn't sound too bad IMO. The Youtube thing was a Battle of the Bands, and with some of those competitions, they provide the kit. And you are on point, it was a four piece Luddy!
Thanks again and you can expect LOTS of pics when the Ref gets in!! :)

Thanks! And yes, it has been a work in progress the last couple of years or so. Back in March I added the remote Ks, left K China, another crash, the piccolo side snare and the 8" tom. Not that I didn't like it as a 6 piece, but I love it this way!!

Going with a 1 up, 2 down configuration this time. A lot of times I have to scale this one down to fit some of the smaller stages around town, so I won't have to do that anymore when the Ref gets here.
I'm liking the Twilight Fade a lot...but that could change the day I order it, who knows:)

My friend tried some pearl references out in a shop and he said that even though it was a small kit, like 10, 12, 14, 20 or something it sounded huge so yeah i guess you don't need a huge kit with the refs. Personally if i was rich enough to be getting some i'd probably get flat black or midnight fade and black hardware but that's just me.

dude, it is no contest, the gators are from the sec, the real best conference in college football. the big 12 has no defense and throws the ball every play which is why they have the best offenses. the sooners do well because they have good speed but the gators are a fast team as well so they better defense will win and the gators have a better defense.

Thanks dude. Yeah, I have to scale it down from time to time for the smaller clubs...or when we do battles and you only get 5 mins or so to set up/tear down.

SEC is a tougher conf IMHO, but you have two Heisman winners going toe to toe so it should be a great game.

i think tebow got snubbed in the heisman. i think if tebow didn't win, colt deserved it more. Texas beat oklahoma and they lost to texas tech because that guy didn't intercept the ball the play before texas tech scored. but it should be a good game but i live in georgia so i always go for the home-region team =P

Very classy and professional looking set. I like you you maximize the use of the rack and have very little touching the floor - I think it's odd when people use a rack, then cymbal and tom stands also. You have obviously put a lot of thought into the design of your setup and I appreciate that.
Nice collection of bronze and snares. I'm going to check out your music now.

A "Cymbalist"? You are just making stuff up now right!?? LOL
There are tons of people who stay loyal to a certain brand. And believe me dude, it takes a while to get a collection like this...well for me anyways. But I was rockin ZBTs there for a while, I have had actual Pearl cymbals in the past...so I am really proud to own every Z in my arsenal these days.

And the 13" KCH have a very nice high pitched "Chick" sound to them, very crisp and clean. But just don't get the job done when I am fully rockin it like the full sound I get from my main 14" hats. But I use them during softer parts of a few of our tunes. We try to be dynamic you know. :)
