recommendation of books to teach music reading

Hey all,
What is a good book to teach me how to read music? I can read the basics, whole1/2 1/4 1/8 1/16 1/32 and rests, but for instance when notes are tied together, I'm not sure what to do with that...press roll? There are other questions too. What is a good book that will take me past the basics? Thanks.
