Ideas for mentally handicapped

Hi all!
I work with mentally handicapped people and i think it would be a nice idea to do some rythem stuff with them. Just with wooden blocks and other things like that, little percussion work. Now it would be interesting for me if you have some ideas how i can start this project.

Good on ya for helping the mentally handicapped! I volunteer at a local foundation for mentally challenged people.

Take a look at the Rhythmic Arts Project. You might get some ideas there.

Remo has done some wonderful work for/with the "learning impaired". Also check out "water bottle" drums. http://www.rhythmweb.com/homemade/waterbottle.htm Almost any school/office/store/etc. has plastic "sparkletts" bottles.
