Im planing to attend college next year, and i have to preform a snare piece, anyone got any recomendations, and where i can find them? Can i find any for free on the internet?
Check out Charley Wilcoxon's:
The All American Drummer 150 Rudimental Solos.
Any of the ones near the end (148th, 150th) would be perfect IMO.

I would prepare one rudimental piece and one concert or "legit" piece. Many people play Pratt (http://www.steveweissmusic.com/category/s) or WIlcoxon (http://www.steveweissmusic.com/category/s/a) for rudimental solos. Cirone's Portraits in Rhythm (http://www.steveweissmusic.com/product/2293/snare-drum-books) is a standard for concert solos.
You will probably have to play a mallet piece too. If you want to do four mallets, start working on Simply Four by Gifford Howarth (http://www.vicfirth.com/education/keyboard/howarth.html) and then try to work up some Mitchell Peters pieces.
Don't try to find stuff for free online. Spend money on a teacher and books now. It should pay off later.

I hope you take Jeff's advice to heart because if you are going to audition and have no idea of where to begin to find a solo, you have a lot of work ahead of you. If you are predominantly a drum set player, try to find a school that will allow drum set as a percussion requirement.
