Double Bass Pedal

Hi,

My name is Dan and I want to buy a double bass pedal for my 14 year old son for Christmas. I'm hoping to get a good set for under $200. I was hoping you fine gentlemen or women would be able to point me in the right direction.

TAMA, yamaha, dw and pearl make very good pedals for less than $200. If you look on ebay you might be able to get a used DW5000, iron cobras or pearl eliminators for that sort of money.

So it really depends on whether your son would prefer to see a shiny new boxed pedal for his birthday or a used but better model?
